Insurance Broker Discusses What Long Term Care Insurance Covers
As an experienced Long-Term Care Insurance Broker, I often receive questions from physicians and dentists regarding what long term care insurance covers. A long term care insurance policy will cover an individual who is deemed to have a chronic illness or injury and is unable to do certain activities of daily living, things that you and I take for granted to be able to do each day such as bathing, dressing, and feeding ourselves.
Once an insurance company has approved benefits, it will pay a daily benefit to take care of a person if they are receiving care in a long term care facility such as a nursing home, an adult day care facility, an assisted living facility, or at home, which is where most people would prefer to be cared for.
