Insurance Broker Discusses Eligibility for Benefits
As an experienced certified Insurance Broker, I constantly get asked when an individual can be eligible for benefits. Benefits under long term care insurance policies are uniformly triggered these days by the inability to do two out of six activities of daily living, otherwise known as ADL’s.
Those ADL’s or activities of daily living could be things like being able to feed yourself, dress yourself, or move from one location to another. Once benefits are triggered, they are payable from the onset of that claim after you’ve satisfied your waiting period, otherwise known as the elimination period.
